How is your theater set up?
I just wonder how others have their systems setup. I have two different setups. One is the more normal 5 speaker 1 sub which is in my bedroom. The other is my main system with 8 surrounds and sub for the LFE, 1 sub for the front pair, one for the center channel, and one for the rears. I was asking this cause for my main system I wanted something that would come close to replicating a movie theater with multiple surrounds. I find this to be more enveloping and it moves the sweet spot to a larger area. Just seeing if anyone else goes with this type of setup and why you do or don't.

Very nice Taxi. Very nice. I currently have no pictures of mine but, the main system is in the master bedroom which I converted to be a theater.(As you can tell I live by myself in a 3 bedroom house.)I wanted the room to be totally symmetrical and enclosed on all sides. I painted the walls burgundy so everything would dissapear into the darkness except the screen.

No pics here either (unfortunately), but I have a simple 5.1 setup in my living room (Front speakers - 2 10" 3-ways, rear - 2 3" 3-ways mounted on the wall, Pioneer center channel speaker & an AB 12" Subwoofer) along with a 50" Toshiba at the centerpiece! Works for what I need it for!

Well I've almost cleaned up my HT to the point I wouldn't be too embarassed to post a pic. I just this weekend tried to free up some space around the TV so that it doesn't look so crowded. Moved the sub almost directly up against the rear wall behind a couch. I'll take a few pics this week sometime and post them to that thread that Damian started.

The picture of the entertainment unit is now obsolete since I now have the Toshiba 57HX81... I'll update the picture when I can take a good picture of the new TV.... ![]() Peace...... |
