Super-budget player
Ok I'm sure you guys have answered this a 1000k times but the hardware scene changes SO fast the Archives didn't help much...
I want to buy my Dad a DVD player for Xmas. He NOT techy AT ALL. He didn't even own a CD player until like 1997... But he likes movies and I think he would like a DVD player... But I'm a poor post-student and can swing muck more than 100 bucks... SO what is the best (in this case read: easy to use, few disk incompatibilities, reliable) player in the $100-130 range. I was going to go with the super-budget Apex player but have read nothing but bad 'bout that brand. Thanks for the tips! |

You can find the Toshiba 1700 for $129:
http://www.pricegrabber.com/search_g...6819bba340d29e The Pioneer DV-343 for $138: http://www.pricegrabber.com/search_g...6819bba340d29e The Panssonic DVD-RV30 for $119: http://www.pricegrabber.com/search_g...6819bba340d29e I don't know much about the Toshiba 1700, but I think the Pioneer DV-343 or the Panasonic DVD-RV30 would work well for you. Alternatively, you could try an RCA, or Oritron for rought around $100, but they might give you problems..... Good luck! Peace..... |
