Code free - Sony DVP-S550D - DVDfile.com forum for DVD, Blu-Ray, and HD-DVD

Hi.
I'm trying to make my dvd player region free, but it seems hard to get those kind of information thesedays.
If anyone knows how to do it (preferrably with remote control), please help me out.

What do you mean "by remote control"? Most region free players have to be physically hacked in order to do what they do.

Well, some DVD players can be hacked very easily by inputing certain numbers using remote controls. ( I've done it for Samsung and LG DVD players )
So I figured that it might be possible for Sony players as well. Apparently I know nothing about Sony player

That's what I meant by remote cotrols.

Short and simple. There is no remote hack for a Sony DVD player as far as I know anyway. It has to be done physically as 1138 said in his previous post. Mind you it's pretty expensive to do this on a Sony, atleast around here it is.
