Component Video
My parents just bought a 36' JVC TV which does have component video jacks.
THe DVD player my sister and i chipped in on for them is a Toshiba and has progressive scan and the component output jacks. Even though the TV has no progressive line doubler(ability basically), is this connection gonna make any difference in the picture? My thought has always been connect with the highest grade possible. |

Well, just set the player for interlaced and not progressive. Even in interlaced mode, the component should be best.

Thanks 1138, thats the assurance i needed. the people at crutchfields never want to answer questions on the phone unless you buy something, and i get too tired playing "the pretend i am gonna buy something/get back to you later after i discuss it with my wife" game to get my info. |
