Calibrating video w/ Sound and Vision.
I just completed calibrating my direct-view Panasonic TV with the Sound and Vision calibration disc. I used the blue filter to adjust the color and tint. However, I have a question about some of the settings.
These are the settings on my TV after calibration. Color - (40) - ranges from 0-63 Tint - (25) - ranges from 0-63 Brightness - (45) - ranges from 0-63 Contrast - (40) - ranges from 0-63 Sharpness - (10) - ranges from 0-63 I used a blue filter to get these color and tint settings. I even had a couple different people verify the settings. With these settings, however, skin tones appear to be really orange. (Until now, I have always set the color to 25-30). Should I go with the S&V settings? Any help is greatly appreciated. Last edited by Jdubya300 : 12-28-2002 at 03:23 AM. |

My opinion is set it up with the disc, and if it don't look right just adjust it without any tools until it looks good. Thats what I do anyway

Try calibrating w/ Avia and see how the settings change.....
I have not used Sound & Vision, but HAVE used Video Essentials and Avia and I HIGHLY recommend Avia over VE. Peace.....
