Leaving DVDs inside player

Is this a no, no. Sometimes I get lazy and leave DVDs inside my changer.

Thanks!

I, too, am lazy, and tend to leave my discs in the player for eons...I've never had a problem with either the discs or the player(s), so I don't think it's an issue.
I'm sure there's some anal geek dvd purist out there, that recommends you consistently store unplayed DVD's in an airtight room, and that they should only see the light of day (or the interior of your player) for no more than 2 hours per year - but I wouldn't worry about it

I don't think there's anything wrong with leaving DVDs inside the player. I just tend to take mine out of the player, as I try to keep my DVD storage area clean and not have empty cases lying around. Old habit from the laserdisc days.

Unless you're shipping it somewhere, there's nothing wrong with leaving DVDs in the player. Just remember to turn the player off so it isn't playing a looping menu all night long.

right-o, aslong as your player isnt on it wont hurt your disc, it can put unneeded ware on your player and disc if you leave your player on all night though

In the bedroom, our TV has a sleep timer, but the DVD player doesn't.

I wake up to some toasty discs, occasionally.

If your DVD player is on fire you should remove the disc, as this may damage the DVD.

I leave DVDs in my player all the time and all my DVD players have a power down mode, so I don't really worry about it.
