I have a usa ps2 and if I want to watch all region discs I use a datel product called Region X.

Alone the PS2 cannot play them (if you are R1)...
With cd's such as Action Replay for PS2, you can play ANY region DVD... HOWEVER....This does not mean the disc will play ok on your TV. many european R2 dvd's will be in PAL format...not NTSC like here in the U.S. Becuase of this, you will not be able to watch them on your TV. Proceed with caution.
