um, how could this be useful for DVD's? it has prologic capabilities only - big deal, so my gamecube will sound nice and warm.
Now, if it had a DTS or AC-3 decoder that's another story...ahem still silly, I mean, you can write software to emulate the qualities of tubes in real-time, and it would only cost about $500 to integrate with a receiver...this device is a toy for a very rich person... ![]() |

Umm, It's for 2 channel sources.
And nothing solid state sounds anything like good tubes.

There's absolutely no questioning the fact that this is indeed a novelty item for those with disposable incomes. If you're spending this much on audio equipment, chances are you're a purist , listening to music in strictly 2-channel or mutlitchannel SACD/DVD-A via analog 5.1. For movies, obviously DPL II is no alternative to discrete signals on DVD soundtracks. So why would such a person buy it? because they can...

Then you need some real good horn loaded speakers for each channel. Then you'd need DVD player, CD player etc and the screen to match.
