"No Disc"
In 2000 my dad bought me my first DVD player for my birthday. It was a Hitachi and a couple years later it stopped working, everytime I put a disc in it would say "No Disc" I tried using one of those cleaning discs but that came up as "No Disc" too how can I fix this? I have two other DVD players in the house (one of them is my PS2) but I miss my Hitachi Right now it's in it's box up in my closet

SeptGrl80,
Sometimes a "no disk" error is just a memory error. Usually just unplugging it for 30 seconds or so gives the memory time to clear and it will work fine after you plug it back in. You mentioned the player is sitting in a box. You didn't mention if you tried unplugging it first and retesting it. If you never tried that, then you pull that box down, plug the player in and give it a test. Hopefully it will work. Good luck. -Flash
