Need TV Help

I am in the process of returning my Sony Wega KV-32FS13 television. It's been nothing but trouble since I bought it and I am hoping that Circuit City will be taking it back.

You may be aslong why am I stuck with Circuit City its because I purchased the Wega through them. It's been serviced by a Sony Authorized dealer 4 times and the set is still not right. After spending a good bit of time on the phone with a Circuit City Consumer Relations operator who told me, "J. Rudey Assoc. says the television is in normal working order. The set must be flawed so deal with it or call Sony."

I was irate at that point. My dad in turn called the store from which I purchased the set and after I spoke with Sony, I spoke with the Store Director who was more than helpful and seemed genuinely concerned. He sent the set to the Circuit City Repair Center in Cleveland, OH. I recieved a call from the technician who serviced the set in Cleveland toaday and said that there were problems, but still could not solve the black bars running vertically in the video modes. Sony told me that there is nothing they can do, but gave me a number to Circuit City's Corporate Office, they were worst than the Consumer Relation line.

There is a lot more to it, but that is the jist of it. I am hoping that they will give a some sort if a discount just for being patient and being treated horribely. Hey just because I am 19, doesn't make my money any less valuable. Also, the TVs been opened countless times and trasported several times, which just makes me apprehensive.

So thats the story. Any advice...lol.

Here is what I am looking at:

Samsung TXN - 3075WHF

Samsung TXN - 3071WHF

Toshiba 34HD82

Panasonic CT - 30WX52

Panasonic CT - 34WX52

So basically I am looking for a HDTV in the 30" area and widescreen. If there are any other products out there, please let me know. Thanks!

I'm not an expert on these TVs, but I would check out the 36" Panasonic or the 34" Toshiba, simply because they are larger than the 30" sets. That is if you have space for either if these sets.

From what I've heard about the rear projection Panasonic HDTVs, the 36" Tau should be a good set (of course this is based on NO evidence at all... ).

See if you can audition the 36" Panasonic Tau or the Toshiba.

Good luck!

Peace....
