Advice Needed: Sony Wega and Samsung Combo Player

Hi!

My friend just bought this combo DVD/VCR player:

Samsung DVD-V3500

This is the link to the specs:

http://www.samsungusa.com/cgi-bin/na...VD-V3500%2fXAA

Now he is looking into buying this Sony Wega TV:

Sony KV-20FV300

http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INTE...&Boutique=wega

These are the questions he had:

He can't find a local retail that sells the Sony so he is thinking about ordering online. Can you please recommend some good online retaliers that you've had good experience with or if you've known someone that had a good expereince with.

Also, any input regarding these two products would be awesome. Thanks, your a doll!

well, as far as on line retailers go, 6th Ave was real good to me when I got Doms DVD player. If you do a search on Pricescan.com you will probably find a better price. I can't say you will find better service tho.

As for the product itself...

My only question is this

When the DVD player fails, how long is your friend willing to go without the VCR? ( I am not implying that it will fail, but that when you get an all in one box, you have to think of things like that )

And the TV is a Sony Wega...

Some would say the best tube TV money can buy.

Thanks chlngr1970 for the links and info.

Personally, I like my components to be separate. I hope the player won't fail on him that would suck. Although it is cool that he got it because now I have someone I trust to tell me if it's a bad player.

I agree on the TV. It looks really cool. I've seen them at Tweeter, Best Buy and some high end places and they are sweeet.
