Wiring question for an older Console TV

Hello all. Im quite the beginner in this area, so please forgive me.

I have a older Sony console set that has a coax and Red/White/Yellow inputs.

I also have these devices:
Hughes DVR2
Sony progressive DVD player(forgot the model#)
Sony Playstation 2

My question is , how can I have both my Sony DVD and Sony PS2 wired to my TV?

I dont want to use my PS2 for DVD's because of its limitations.

Right now, I have my DVR2 going back to my TV via Coax.
Then, Im using [ONE OR THE OTHER]separate Red/White/Yellow cables on both DVD and PS2, that feed back to the corresponding R/W/Y inputs on my TV.

Is there something I can use to avoid having to switch cables between my PS2 and DVD, or another option?

Alls you need is an A/V selector like This. It dosen't have to be this model, but with a decent quality unit like this you probably will not notice any signal loss like I've seen with some cheaper models. Any local electonic store like Radio Shack, Circut City, Etc. should stock A/V selectors.

An even better idea would be to spend a few hundred dollars on an home theater receiver (A/V receiver). Not only will be able to switch componets via remote control, but you'll also be able to enjoy surround sound in your movies, video games, TV. Just a thought.

The AV selector is a great suggestion. My sister in law uses one, and it works well for her.
