I've read very good things about it on AVS Forum. It sounds like a very good player to at least check out, since the DVD-5900 is SOOOO expensive.

Peace...

Since this is almost the exact same player as the 2900, which is considered the best universal player at th $1000 price point, I think this one is a pretty great player for $600. I want one, but am waiting for the price to go down online. Hopefully after christmas, this will be mine. At the moment, the best place to buy it seems to be www.goodguys.com. No sales tax, free shipping, and 10% off comes to $540 for a Denon certified player. All the other companies online who are not certified cost from $525 to $575. The extra $15 is worth the certification.

I Agree with snipsnapsappy . The 2200 bigger brother the 2900 got a wonderfull reveiw in a recent Sound & Vision article, and except for a few more bells and whistles I believe the 2200 is nearly the same. Etheir way Denon makes solid DVD player. I hope to pick up a 2900 before the end of the year.
