opinions on this Center Channel

i was just wondering what anybody's opinion is of the:
KLIPSCH Reference Center RC3ii or it's newer version the RC35?

i can pick it up cheap from a friend. but if you've read my other posts, you know that I always have some fucking problem or another with the centers I get. I think i'm gonna go high end with the center now (if this can be called high end).

I dont care about matching with my other speakers much, I just want it not to sound like crap.

Ahhh, it's MTX-Man !!

Seriously man, is there any reason you don't wan't to use a MTX Monitor6 or 6C as your center?

I have a feeling the Klipsch isn't going to be a good match for your other speakers. Klipsch, IMO, lean toward the bright side, and if I remember correctly, you wanted to avoid that kind of sound. You want a meaty sounding center...right?

How about giving the Paradigm CC-270 a listen. It goes down to 50hz which is 6 hz lower than the Klipsch RC35, and doesn't utilize that compression horn stuff......

I'm not sure if this is under what you need or not, but it's worked great for me.

Cambridge SoundWorks Classic Series CenterStage Center Speaker

It's not too directional and is very clear even at low levels. It dispearses the front sounds very well, and you can get it around $150. They also have a newer, more expensive, model...

Cambridge SoundWorks Newton Series™ MC500 Center Speaker

My brother has this and it sounds fantastic.

Start up with a center to build an Axiom or Rocket set up. I own the Axiom VP150 and it is an amazing center. These speakers do not disappoint.

www.rocketloudspeakers.com

They are very different sounding speakers, though. The Axioms are well balanced speakers that tend to make bright recordings sound bright and well recorded music will sound great. They are very revealing of the quality of the original source.

The rockets are very laid back and allow for poorly recorded music to sound fine while well recorded music will sound great. They are still very high quality speakers and do not disappoint.

Both speakers come in amazing finishes and have unrivaled customer service. Also factor in free 2 day shipping from Canada and no tax in the Axiom price, and it is an amazing deal.
