Anyone have insight on NIRO 1.1STD/PRO

They claim surround sound achieved with only one speaker (and a subwoofer). Does anyone here own one, or seen (heard!) it demonstrated?

Wow... I've never heard of that....

I'm curious to hear what it sounds like... I'm sure it can't reproduce the DEEEP bass of a good powered sub, but I'm still curious...

Peace...

I don't buy what their selling. It looks like another "Bose" marketing ploy if you ask me. And even if it does envelope you in sound, it looks like your room would have to be of specific dimensions for it to do what it claims. Quite honestly, it looks, and probably sounds like crap, but that's just my opinion. Remember....if it's too good to be true...

This product should only be appealing to people who can not have a 5.1 system and only have space for a center channel. I am sure this product works better than simply having a normal center channel. However, if you want good quality surround sound, you will not get it with this. It is not possible.

I will say, though, that good quality front speakers can envelop the listener if there is enough walls to bounce off of.

Re: Anyone have insight on NIRO 1.1STD/PRO

Has anyone else had any experience with the Niro system? A friend is looking at this. He's currently got a Bose system he is not happy with.

EDIT: I just found THIS review of the Niro 1.1 system.

Peace...
