Question about wiring that has turned green.

Hi, I have my system biwired and I noticed just the other day that about an inch of one of the cables near the connector on the speaker end on the black side has turned green, or as I am told, has oxidised. Anyway, to fix this, I was just going to cut that bad part off and reattach the connector. My question is since that one cable is going to lose an inch, should I cut all the cables so they all remain the same length?

An inch probably won't make much of a difference, but if it's gonna keep you up at night then cut away...and if it make you feel any better then tell yourself that you're removing potentailly oxidized parts of the wire...
