Anyone own a JVC TH-A25 HTiB?

This is a bit late to be asking for opinions on this HTiB.. I've had it for about 4 months now, but am only now having the time to start getting some more use out of it. But I've been troubled lately by the appearance of some scratches on a couple of discs I've played in the JVC TH-A25 (scratches that definitely weren't there before, and were not the result of disc mismanagement on my part).

Has anyone ever encountered any problems with this unit, that caused it to scratch the disc being played?

Anyone at all? Am I the only one with this particular set-up..? Being on a tight budget, this was the only reasonable home theater route for me to go, and I figured a name brand like JVC was probably a safe bet. But now I'm afraid to even play anything in it, for fear of ruining perfectly good discs. However, I can think of over a dozen discs that I've played in it, and it seems that only two have come out with a (straight) scratch along the outer edge of the disc. (Maybe the disc wasn't centered *exactly* when I closed the disc tray?)

Anyone got any ideas as to how discs can get scratched once in the player? I would think that if the player was defective then it would be scratching all discs played in it, no?

Thanks again!
