Axiom needs good sub???

Snipsnappy,
I think I've read several places that the Axiom speakers need a good driving sub to help them out! Do you agree with this?

I think I'm going to go with the M60ti's for a trial run, since I can return them no questions asked! I was at Soundtrack today and tested some Infinity Primus 360 floorstandiung and they sounded pretty sweet! They too have a 30 return policy no questions asked!

The M22's will likeley need a good sub, the only go down to 50Hz. The M60's, however, can actually go pretty close to as low as you HTIB's subwoofer can. One thing you need to realize, however, is that you are used to your HT subs bloated bass, so you may not recognize the clean sound of the M60's woofers. Good luck with the trial run, are the Infinity's comparatively priced?

You will actually not need a sub at first with the M60's, they are capable of going to low frequencies of less than 30 Hz, its high frequency limit is 22,000Hz, or 22kHz. Most good quality subs, such as the HSU VTF2 cover the frequency section between 25Hz and 150Hz, so all you will be missing is that extra 5Hz in the low end. I would still recommend eventually getting a sub for the M60's to cover that low end, because it will enhance your HT. You will not need a sub to enhance your music.
