Need advice fast on next setup

Hey guys,

My50" HDTV I have now has had three repairs and still has a flicker issue, so i'm pretty sure i'll know by friday if i'm eligible for a replacement from best buy.

If so, I want to upgrad to the panasonic 50" LCD, or sony 50" LCD grand wega, both HDTV's, but it has been a toss up b/t an LCD or a projector. I'm not too knowledgable on projectors yet, but what produces better picture quality? LCD HDTV, or a projector? Thanks for your help!

Clayton

I'd go with the Sony TV. I have had bad experience with Panasonic products at work (DVD player, Digital Projectors and TV Tube) Plus my friend has a 47 Inch WS Panasonic and noticed it has a few dark patches here and there.

But maybe i'm just a bit bias. What about Hitaichi or Toshiba?

My Panasonic DVD player is excellent, but in general I'd go with Sony.

Persinaly, I'd go with either a CRT ( 57" BABY! ) or spend a few extra bucks and get a DLP. LCD, IMHO just isn't there as far as PQ is concerned.

I would agree with Jim. If you can't pony up for the DLP RPTV, I'd stick with a CRT based device.
