DTS now mandatory sound format for HD-DVD & Blu-Ray?

Hot on the heels of DTS-HD news, check out this tidbit:

"DTS made mandatory for HD-DVD and Blu-Ray - and DTS rechristens its new HD audio format

DTS has confirmed that its ‘DTS Coherent Acoustics’ coding system has joined Dolby Digital as a mandatory audio technology for both the next generation Blu-ray Disc (BD) and High Definition Digital Versatile Disc (HD-DVD) home video formats."

remember, DTS on DVD was optional. This means that studios might be required to include both DD and DTS on *every* release, which would be awesome.
