I'm pretty neutral on all of these brands. None of them have a ATSC (digital/hdtv) tuner, all except the Magnivox have DVI inputs. Offhand I'd say go with the RCA

1. it's an inch larger.
2. It has 2 NTSC tuners for PIP on analog channels.
3. It's not made by Magnavox.

First, stay away from Walmart..

I second the nomination for the RCA but would also suggest checking out the Philips. Can you purchase from a place that offers more/better brands (like Sony, Toshiba, Panasonic, etc)?

Peace...

Ok, that's good to know. Is $1200 your absolute max amount you can spend? Does that include tax, etc?

Peace...

I also agree that brands such as RCA and especially Magnavox are like buying a Kia and I would never buy Electronics at Wal Mart .

For TVs the likes of Toshiba and Panasonic are a good bet , they may cost a bit more but they are alot better .

My suggestion is that you check out the offerings of those brands in the same screensize category , if they cost more than your budget allows I would get the next smaller model . It's better to have a slightly smaller TV that works well than a big piece of crap .

So $1200 is tops? Ok. That's step one!

Step two: How much floor space can this tv accomodate? RPTV's for the most part are big and deep. How much room is available to plunk down your new purchase?

Step three: CRT projection, LCD projection, or DLP projection? If you aren't familiar with these 3 types, ask away!

Step four: High Def or wait? Cable or Dish?

That's all I can think of at the moment dude.

I have a huge space in my room so unlimited space really.

i have no clue about the projection haha, i just want something clear and not grainy. I don't want a small one though, the LCD ones i've seen have been 1200 for like a 19". but yeah. i want a big one lol.

I would like HD if its possible. anddd cable. but i dont have a cable hookup in my room haha. just using it for a dvd/game thing.

Thanks dude!
