New MX-500 remote - DVDfile.com forum for DVD, Blu-Ray, and HD-DVD

Amazon has the MX-500 remote for $70 with free shipping, which is too good a deal for me to pass up. I've been looking at this specific model for like a year and I could never justify the cost. I still can't afford it but what the hell, I guess. Should be on its way soon!

Ridiculous. Well, I think I'm going to stick it out until I save enough for the MX-700. I think those can be picked up on eBay for about $160 shipped.

I havent tried this myself, but I have a couple of freinds who bought those cheesy packard bell PC remote that you see all over ebay. They threw away the remote and use the IR reciever with regular old universal remotes, they both love it.

Maybe that would be a solution for you guys?
