DirecTv/Tivo & First Alert Carbon Monoxide detector
This is downright strange.....for me anyway.
I got the HD Tivo unit for my DirecTv. I've also had (and you should too) a First Alert plug-in-the-wall-outlet Carbon Monoxide detector. Now get this.....If I press the remote for the DirecTv to change channels kinda fast or fast forward on Tivo'ed shows.....the frigging alarm goes off with that heart stopping BEEP BEEP BEEP. What the hell is with that?!?!?! I assume it's a frequency thing but damn if I don't get a potential heart attack when it happens. The First Alert is in a wall socket towards the left of the TV. I would guess within a 50-60 degree angle my normal pointing of the remote to change channels. Weird man....weird.... ![]() |
