DVD Recorder to Old TV

I've got a small TV in my office that just has your basic AV hookups (no S, Component...)
My question is I want to buy a DVD recorder to throw in there to do all my recording and then just pop the disk in to my big TV (I've got a very nice DVD player with the big TV and don't want to put the recorder on it!
Will the dvd recorder work on the older TV with just AV?
