Isn't it amazing what you can get for $300?

Ain't that the truth....I remember paying $650 for my Elite VSX-24TX when it first came out, and that was discounted thru a friend who is a Pioneer dealer. For half the price, he's got component in/out whereas I don't!

Enjoy Dave, and let us know how the MCACC works for ya.

i havent had the chance to hook it up (being that i bought it in florida and i live in NY where my speakers are all waiting to be hooked back up ) I have been reading the manual it is actually both a 6.1 AND a 7.1 amp so i could get a pair of rear surround speakers instead of a rear center speaker if i wanted to. i cant wait to get this bad boy home and hooked up.

Well i got it hooked up and i ordered a new center channel speaker that KLH 525 Platinum II and when i get it im gonna put my current one behind me. so i need to get speaker wire to run it to the amp. I am getting a sub soon is it true you can have it anywhere in the room or is it best to have it near the amp. Im thinking of keeping it near the amp cause id like to plug the subs power cable into the amps AC plug outlet on the back and save money by getting a shorter subwoofer cable. what do you guys think. and can any of you advice a decent sub thats at least 100watts thats not super huge i have limited space in my room i could put it behind my tv stand and stereo, vcr, game console tower.

I suppose you could put the sub just about 'anywhere' but it's probably a good idea (given your setup so far) to try for a corner placement. It will reinforce the bass. I assume your spending under $500 for a sub? Can you tell us what the most is you wan't to spend on the sub, that way we can convince you to spend more?

I'm partial to this one as a starter sub. I'd imagine if you searched more than the 1 minute I spent, you could find it for far less.

I love my sub-$500 SVS sub

Although it is pretty large, and you said size was a factor...
