Yeah, my Dad has one in his, but he doesn't use it because he has DirectTV, and even if he had digital cable, I doubt he'd care about pay-per-view, etc. so he should be fine with his set and its current CableCARD configuration for years to come.

Yeah, I could care less about PPV, OnDemand, and "the Guide". I got it for the HD channels and it serves me well so far. I've only had it about 5 weeks.

I'm kind of waiting for devices with the 2.0 spec, as I do kind of want the guide aspect. I could care less about the other features. But it really would have been nice if they'd just done it right from the start. Between this and HDMI's constant changes, this trend of releasing devices before they're fully done is really getting annoying.
