Projector Focus

I’ve been having problems lately with the focus of my PJ. It seems that when the center of the screen is perfectly in focus, the very bottom of the screen is a bit out of focus. This is especially noticeable when watching scope films. You can see that the bottom bar is a tad bit fuzzy. I’ve cleaned the lens and made sure the screen is flat against the wall.

Any idea what could be causing this?

Just how centered to the middle of the screen is your Z2 sitting? And if not anywhere near the middle, how much of the up/down lens shift are you using?

Don't know if these questions will lead to an answer for you, but I'm curious nonetheless.

The PJ is ceiling mounted and centered using the lens shift. If I was to mount the PJ center to the middle of the screen, I’d have to put t on the wall behind me. I’m guessing that the PJ is a foot or so higher than the center of the screen…maybe a bit more.

Only a foot? So much for that thought then. You running full or half bulb strength? And how many hours are on the bulb again? If I remember, you were getting up there, but even still, I don't see how bulb life would effect the lower portion of the focus versus simply being more dim. Or is dimness a potential on what your seeing as a focus issue?

Random thoughts dude...just trying to help.
