Buying A New TV...Looking For Advice.
I think I am going to take the plunge in the next month or so and upgrade my 27 inch Song Wega. I’m looking at a couple of different TVs. 4 are DLP and one is LCR Rear Projections. Here are the models:
Samsung HLR-4664 Samsung HLR-4264 Toshiba 44HM85 Toshiba 46HMX85 Sony KFE42A10 I've demo'd all and am happy with the picture on each but am having a hard time deciding. They are all within my budget of 2000-3000 CDN and they seam very comparable. Is there anything that I should know about any of these TVs? Is one model better than the other? Does one have better tech in it than an other? The Samsung models look to be the same except for screen size. Same goes of the Toshibas. I am aware of the pros and cons of the technologies involved and am looking for any other advice, comments, etc that anyone has. Thanks, Fluxus |

Well i've been very happy with my tv purchase from last month and would qualify under your budget forcast. I would personally say to check out the Hitachi 50v525 RP LCD HDTV It has had a price drop since my purchase to $2299 (but mine was $200 more and came with a free stand. . .which was crap and a HTiB) If you buy from Future Shop you get (i think the deal is still on) a free year of a HDTV DVR cable box or 3 months of Bell Express View HDTV. That alone was awesome and don't know wher ei would be without my DVR now.
