![]() Seriously, the DV-588a can be made to play all regions but any given player you get won't necessarily be multi-region. The price of the player to which Iggy links is rather high in price due to the multi-region mods being made for you. If you poke around the region-free sites, I'm sure you can get info on making a DV-588a a multi-region player. You can start in the "Off World Colonies" forum here. ![]() Peace...

I just recieved my TOSHIBA SD-4980. It playes all regions, automatically converts PAL to NTSC, plays DIVX and XVID files, plays all types of DVD formats from DVD-R, DVD+R, to DVD+RW, etc. AND upconverts to upto 1080i with the push of a single button on the remote or front of the unit! plus it has an HDMI output. Needless to say I am very happy with it. It does not have anywhere near the picture or sound quality of my Panasonic S77S which I use for viewing regular Region 1 DVDs, but the SD-4980 is well worth a purchase for the $125 US or so that it going for on ebay if you want to go multi-regon.
