Two Toshiba models: Analysis?

What's the difference between these two models, and why is the 66 more expensive than the 67? I'm leaning toward the 66 anyway, because I hate that ugly Regza insignia pasted on the front of the 67 model.

37HL67

37HL66

I've decided to get a 37" for where I'm living now, that will be good for DVDs and acceptable for regular cable.

Thanks for any knowledge someone has about these.

There may be other differences, but looking at the pictures I can tell you that the HL67 has upgraded speakers over the HL66. However, I've heard the speakers on a model similar to the HL66 and they are fine.

Well, I can tell you that TV speakers aren't a concern for me. Much like built-in speakers for a computer monitor, I'll never use them.

I couldn't see any differences in specs. Still not sure why the 66 would be more expensive. Am I thinking wrong that a 67 would be a newer model over a 66?

The "66" is an old model that has been discontinued, I believe. The "67" model is the current model for that TV. The 67 has 3 HDMI inputs and I don't know how many the "66" model has. I believe the "67" model is less expensive because it's a newer TV and new Toshiba TVs tend to have lower prices than their predecessors.

Peace...

Oh, that's interesting about the newer model prices. I'd never noticed that.

I saw the 67 model at Circuit City today. The insignia didn't nearly as bad in person. I might have to go with that, if I stay with this size, type and brand. I saw a 42" plasma there that looked pretty good, if I decide I would have the room for it and would be willing to save up the extra $.
