Your favourite Star Trek TV Series? - DVDfile.com forum for DVD, Blu-Ray, and HD-DVD

In the light of Paramount's plans to start releasing all the ST series on DVD, I'm interested in which is the most popular of all?

My vote goes to the Voyager as it was the first series I've seen at all, and remains even after I've seen TNG and DS9, not talking about laughably dated original.
Enterprise seems to be on the level with Voyager, or even better.

In ranking order:

TOS
DS9
TNG
ENTERPRISE (assuming quality stays consistent)
VOYAGER

I consider myself a fan of all, including the ploblematic VOYAGER, which certainly has obvious, even fatal flaws, but is also dismissed a little too easily by most Trekkers...

The Original Series

Call me campy, but I like this one best. I've watched TNG, which is ok at times, but not as fun as TOS. The other series I have not been able to get into.

I got 6 more volumes to go, and then I'll have all of TOS on DVD.

I grew up with reruns of the original series, so I think it's still the best of the Treks--you can't beat the holy trinity of Kirk, Spock and Bones. I think Deep Space Nine is the most complex contemporary series--ambitious story arcs, large supporting cast of characters, dazzling space battles, etc.--and its ensemble cast is certainly more accomplished than that of The Next Generation
cast. Voyager is a good series, but many trekkies love to tear it to pieces.

Say what you will about the recent additions to the "Franchise," but I think each contemporary series--even Voyager--adds its own distinctive touch to the Star Trek mythology. While I would love to have Deep Space Nine on DVD, I'd certainly purchase DVD sets of all of the series.
