I went to see it with a bunch of friends who are into B-movies, and we had a blast! We laughed our asses off throughout the film. I don't know whether I'd voluntarily watch it again, but Robin Tunney WOULD make it a little more bearable

I rented this because I am fascinated by Allen Smithee films and other similar studio atrocities in which multiple parties remove their names. It was a bad movie with a silly villain, not bad funny, just boring and poorly made. The deleted scenes reveal a little of what the intentions were before MGM wrote it off and cut it to a PG-13, but they are merely insight into what was going through the director's heads, rather than actual promise of quality or entertainment. It mostly looks like a cheap episode of the old Star Trek, albeit on a $75 million budget.
The most interesting extra was the trailer, which tried to make the movie like a comedy! |
