The Emperor's New Groove re-press!!
I just recieved in the mail a new copy of Disney's Emperor's New Groove, I was surprise because I purchased it when it first came out and it wouldn't play on my DVD player. I returned that copy to the store and purchased a new DVD player. I picked up the deluxe edition and had no problems.
I let Disney know of my troubles but never sent anything to them, the DVD showed up today and simply said repress, nothing for me to send and older copy in? |

I was going through some of the extras on the 2-disc set just today and I noticed that while everything plays (well, some of the galleries don't work right) the menus are really, really slow.
The replacement they have sent you is the one-disc? That was nice of them.

Uh-Oh
I bought the one disc of 'emperor' and haven't had any problem. I didn't know there was a problem.
I better watch it again to be sure. Did they have a problem only with the first batch or all the releases? I think I bought mine in August of 2001 but maybe they fixed the problem by the time I picked it up. ![]()

while there's no interruption to the movie on my disc, the digital time display on the dvd player will stop completely for minutes, or jump minutes ahead. like it would be counting somewhere up in the 47:32 neighborhood during the scene when pacha comes to the palace the first time. what a strange problem. it doesn't happen on any other of my discs.

Mine acts strange too.. Who do I contact?
I had a problem with a defective disc of Pearl Harbor. I called the Disney DVD Help Line which was printed on the label of the discs along with a web address for Video Support. You will also find a pone # for them at the website. They sent me a replacement of Pearl Harbor (both discs in the case) and a mailing label for the defective one. The people I talked to were very helpful, actually knew about their products, and they read these and other DVD boards looking for threads about problems with their products. |

My Pioneer DVL-700 wouldn't play the first disc correctly either. Called Disney and they said take it back to where I got it. I did and got my money back.
2 months ago I get a new regular edition from Disney and a package to send back the SE...a little late and I now have one that plays...but not the SE. ![]() |
