I picked DD 5.1/DTS 5.1 2 discs with extras on disc 2( But a slight change from your choice ALL features on disc 2 but the commentary and a possible music only track(of course they have to be on the same disc as the movie itself)

There is no option that I can vote for. I want the best possible picture and the best possible sound in both DD 5.1(or 6.1 or 7.1) and DTS (5.1, 6.1, 7.1) for the feature and I do not care about extras

I don't know, but they need to have their posting privileges revoked.

on the mono issue:

it's about films in mono: do you want them in dolby 1.0 or 2.0 stero (192kbps) or in PCM mono or stereo (lossless format) ?

a mono sounds much better in PCM.

I don’t want them in mono; I want them all surrounded

What I would like to see is Disc 1 have the best possible picture, i.e. Superbit, with little or no extras. Keep the extras on the second disc.

DD 5.1 is a waste of time! DTS all the way.

2 disc sets

Definitely best picture audio on disc 1 and extras on disc 2. About the mono issue, if the film was mono originally "shouldn't" the DVD be? Maybe the original track AND a surround track, ie "The Terminator" SE. Hmm.

I voted for the 2-Disc DTS 5.1. Can't go wrong with that.

I voted for 2 Disc, DTS, and all supplements on disc 2. I like m movies and extras segregated.

there's confusion on the moni issue: I said, would you prefer mono in 1.0 (or 2.0) 192kbps or in PCM mono ?

PCM mono is way better! It has way less compression to DD 1.0 so I don't understand why people would prefer that!?!?

Someone should get around to doing a Superbit two-disc set. Superbit version on disc 1 and everything else on disc 2. This will solve superbit's no extras problem.
