The Abyss to become a one disc version

I was holding out for an animorphic reissue, not a stripped down version of what's out there. Now I'm thinking I should just buy it as is... or is that what they want me to think?

I know if I continue to not buy the current set, they'll continue to not put out an animorphicly encoded version... but as soon as I do buy it, *BAM* something better comes out.

Grrrrrrr......

sorry for straying off your question...

does anyone know if these [abyss, cast away, id4] discs will be stripped down, or are they just going to be double sided discs now?

They will be stripped down.

Go ahead and get The Abyss, anamorphic or not, it's still one of the best dvds on the market. You can kiss an anamorphic transfer goodbye since they are downgrading, I doubt they will be upgrading also.
