Yeah I heard October too because I remember thinking that was an awful long time to make us wait for the DVD.

I read an unconfirmed date of May somewhere. Have no idea if that is true or not.

October sounds closer to the truth. Just before the release of Chamber of Secrets, and just in time for X-Mas. Marketing just doesn't get any better than that.

I got really curious and hunted this down. The May 7th date circulated on the internet which is when the 5th book was suppose to come out and the DVD was going to come out at the same time to tie into it. This was a whispered rumor, Warner has never officially given a date yet.

While at Barnes & Nobles today, I asked three employees when the next Harry Potter book would come out. None of them know. The last person I talked to said they get a date and then a few weeks later they are told it has been pushed back. They are now telling people in the fall just to be on the safe side.

So while the May date is still possible, I would expect a huge build up for the book and DVD coming out together. I think this fall is more likely.

Damn. I thought I was the only one that loved that movie. Glad to see others can enjoy a fine movie like this, no matter what age. I think the fifth book is scheduled to come out some time near February. My older sister is an avid reader of them and owns the first 4 and has been scouring for information on the fifth book, and has more than once come up with Feb. for the new book.

I heard it was May 7th cause thats the day after my BD! But now I hear it is between April and June. I have never heard of the October date. But I have heard from several sources (3) it will be between April and June.

And it will be a 2 disc set.
