Has anyone ordered from them? I ordered from them about two weeks ago and I am still waiting to get my DVDs. Do they usually take this long?

Also placed my first order with them back on Jan. 19th and haven't gotten it yet. But that's not as bad as DVDExpress. Supposed to have shipped on the 17th and haven't gotten it yet. And their e-mail system is clogged up too. I read in a forum on eBay that the Post Office has been really slow lately. So I'm guessing that both of my orders were sent Media Mail, which can supposedly take as long as 2 or 3 weeks. Oh well, I've still got some unopened DVDs I haven't watched yet, so no big rush for me. If you want your DVDs faster, you'll probably need to use faster shipping method next time, though that would negate some of the great deals on both sites.

This is the first time I ordered from them and I couldn't find any vendor's ratings on them. Normally I go thru and see if there are any patterns to the reviews and see if they are consistently good. I guess that's the obvious thing to do.

After I placed my order and went back to the site where I search for titles, I noticed the review was there. Only one person out of ten received good service from them. Supposedly the guy who runs it is in a band and he travels and is really bad about answering e-mails and shipping the orders.

I will definitely not order from them anymore. For now, I will be giving deepdiscount a lot of business. Actually I've exclusively ordered from them with a few exceptions.

Re: BigCD.com

RUN AWAY FROM THIS SITE, YOU WILL THANK ME LATER !!!
September 8th, i ordered through www.musicstack.com a cd found on www.bigcd.com for a total amount of 44.99 USD. I payed, directly, www.bigcd.com september 9th with Paypal (2D941663XN119274C). The same day I received a mail from bigcd to confirm my payment and telling me that the cd was "shipped". Great.
September 28th, I received a mail from manager@bigcd.com asking me to leave a "positive feedback" for the transaction. I answered that I did not receive the cd yet. And the manager sent me an other mail tellin me: "that title is still on order for you… Úou can see it on the report page".
And that's the probleme. 20 days before the cd was shipped and now it's still on order. Where is the truth?
Now we are november 3rd, and, of course, I did not receive any cd att all. For one week I'm aasking, dayly, to this manager "where is my cd?", "did you send it?", "if yes when?" "if not when will you?" and as far as today I can't have any serious and complete answer.
For days now, as i'm fed up with this transaction, I sent emails asking these people to cancel my order and to refund me, with Paypal.
And, of course, I received no response to my mails.
So that's the story. I think that these people are not serious. They trying to sell items that they don't have and most of all they never refund.
Just type "bigcd.com" on the net and see all bad reviews (including mine).
THE GUY WHO RUNNING THIS SITE IS NAMED MIKE WARDEN, no adresses except a po box in Redford, Mi.

Well, no one can accuse doobie78 of not using the search feature.

Sorry you got scammed.

I'm all for savings and everything, but it's reached the point where I on'y buy online through the more popular sites. I had never heard of bigcd until 2002...and promptly forgot about them until today.

Same here. Sure you might not get rock bottom prices but the reputation and reliability of the retailer is worth the extra cost to me.

Peace...

This is absolutely ridiculous....

I told Yves Andre... EXACTLY what to do and you absolutely refuse to comply. If you don't follow the required directions then I can't help you because my hands are tied. I informed you that running around posting personal information, slandering the business with false acusations and so forth is not going to get you customer service. Yet you hire someone to personally investigate me, all the way from France when all you had to do was 1. stop running your mouth on reviews and message boards as I asked you politiely in the first place 2. request a paypal refund in the first place. You responded to a post that was over 2 years old here.

I don't care if you find 20 people online that complained I used to process over 500 cds a week on my ebay store until that market died. I used to be the worlds largest cd shop on ebay. I have been in business for 4-5 years... and in that time I have been shut down by credit card processors and taken advantage of several times for thousands of dollars. Thats what happened 2 years ago which forced me out of business then and forcibly stolen and held 30,000 or so of customers funds including funds out of the bank account directly reversed by the card processor. They make money putting small business's out of business. They made a lot of money off me all those chargebacks they make $35-40 per chargeback in profit.

You want to look and see how many complaints amazon.com has or any other retailer. You don't see the mass amount of volume by intelligent customers who read policy and or follow the required directions i send them. I've emailed you about 10 times and asked you and told you exactly what to do. All you did was run your mouth and email bomb me. So next time someone finds this post because they did a search on the net maybe they will understand the process involved.

Lets see do a search on google, you find 2 complaints on complaints.com that have been long long long long since resolved, you find a few reviews on bizrate, and a few on shopping.com, you find an unsatisfactory review on the bbb site. You know that means that means I ignored them when they sent me 1 or 2 letters asking for information about an old ass order that had already been resolved. The BBB is a scam outright, people PAY to get the BBB seal, they don't really care if you follow their guidelines or not. You will also find hundreds of thousands of links and linkings in all the top search engines and directories and so forth. You will find a few crazy people like you who have threatened me and personally pursued a vendetta against me simply because they were too stupid or ignorent to follow refund directions or heed my email instructions.

I'm done have a good day.

Wow, you must have really screwed over a lot of people to get $30,000 worth of chargebacks. Seriously, that does not seem like a positive thing to me. In fact, Yves may or may not be a nutjob with a hatchet, but the fact is that based on both the tone and content that you posted I'll make sure never to do any business with you.

I don't really understand what you mean.

What do you mean screwed a lot of people over? If a card processor is holding and stealing funds.. they generate the chargeback themselves it has nothing to do with screwing anyone over then they make the money on it. It's routine at some companies they know the business won't sue so they just do it. It is pretty much in any merchant processors contract that they can hold, deny, in otherwords steal funds from the merchant at any time for any reason. You either agree to it or you don't get a merchant account. It's big brother big business bullshit.

What tone? customers are stupid? yes they are. very in most cases. im getting out of business as soon as possible band is almost signed to a major now.

Wow, are you serious? I'm suprised anyone accepts credit cards at all if it's like that. I feel for ya, small businessman.

I would say that it's very unprofessional and frankly a waste of time to ask a dissatisfied customer to stop telling people he's dissatisfied. It's even more unprofessional if you're impluying, which you appear to be doing, that it is one of your prerequisites for you to issue a refund.

I do not usually respond to posts like this, but you Sir, have some SERIOUS issues.

First rule of retail of ANY kind, be it online or otherwise . . . The customer is ALWAYS right.

. . . and yeah . . . you DO have a tone . . . loose the attitude, it makes you look like an ass. If you are trying to defend yourself, and it doesn't look like you have a leg to stand on, at least try a bit of tact. You'd be amazed how far it gets you.

Peace

The Story Is Not Over

Now, today november 12, This MICHAEL WARDEN who’s running BIGCD.COM, as I’m asking for a simple refund replies “Unfortunately you will have to remove the negative feedback before any further service can be rendered. I also do not have any updated reports so I couldn't refund for sure until those are updated and the negative removed”. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT !!!
So after some search on the internet this MICHAEL WARDEN was involved in a pyramidal swindle, you know the kind of you have to send some money to 5 or 6 people and you will receive more, etc, etc…
It’s a criminal swindle as on ly the one on the list will get the money. And guess what, the adress of one guy is exactly the bigcd PO BOX - MikeCTW Po Box 40282 Redford, MI 48240 - CTW is that this mister runs another site and seems to have an underground record company: www.conquertheworld.com (poor bands) This gives you the kind of person is MIKE WARDEN. He certainly like Rock Music but he’s far away from the spirit.
(see these links for the swindle)
