Where's Stakeout?

I have not seen the movie Stakeout (with Richard Dreyfuss and Emilo Estevez) on DVD. Touchstone did the VHS version. Anyone know what is happening with this title?

I was thinking the same thing about STAKEOUT. I always loved this 80's buddy cop movie and hope there is some news soon.

According to Studio Days and reports here at DVD File, this title is not coming out anytime soon. I hope that they are at least discussing this behind the scenes.

Anamorphic widescreen with original and remastered 5.1 soundtracks are a minimum must.

Looking at today's DVD File Disc News, Buena Vista is holding out on releasing this movie in favor of movies like Kriffendorf's Tribe, Mr. Wrong, and The Scarlet Letter.

I sure hope Buena Vista has some kind of plan in store for Stakeout. How about Shoot to Kill, too?

I Just Don't Get It

It really baffles me. What are some of these studios thinking? They have put so many crappy movies on DVD and then they leave good (I'm not saying it's the best movie out there but it beats some of the trash that has been given the DVD treatment) movies like Stakeout behind.
