Behind Enemy Lines: Se

Just checked DVDFILE.COM and was happy to find out about this loaded release. Here's what they had to say:

Let's start with the two new big releases, led by the recent action flick Behind Enemy Lines due on 4/23. In addition to the 2.35;1 anamorphic widescreen transfer and DTS and Dolby Digital 5.1 surround tracks, this two-disc set comes feature loaded with two audio commentaries, with director John Moore and editor Martin Smith, and producers John Davis and Wick Godfrey, a behind-the-scenes featurette, the original main title and end credit sequences and an alternate "Take Off" montage, all with optional commentary, 3 extended scenes, and trailers.

I am psyched that they are giving this such a souped-up 2 disc set. It did pretty well at the B.O. and I thought it was definitely one of the best movies of the holiday season. I didn't read much about it here on the boards and was curious what everyone thought.

Awesome movie overall, but there were a few parts that just seemed kinda long.

I'm the opposite guys....I thought it would be way better than I expected. I thought they start had promise, with the jet being shot down and everything. But I didnt get enough of a sense of the political rammifications that would have been going on. I mean, why didnt the pilot guy radio in he found bodies?

Also, and this is only a little peev, but the cinematography was all over the place and inconsistant. Now, the grading was fine. But it went from one scene being totally shot with dolly shots (AND ever crossing 'the line' every time the other person spoke!) eg. Two pilots conversing on hilltop - and then it would be fixed point shots thru another scene, and then ANOTHER would be completely hand held, and then it would be stedicam for the next scene.

Just bugged me. I just really wanted a more complex or political subplot.

This movie was laughingly bad.
But as you were.
