Alien 3
Alien Resurrection
The Beastmaster
Bill And Teds Excellent Adventure
Bill And Teds Bogus Journey
Boogie Nights (P.E.)
Buffy Season 1 (just have to watch the last 4 episodes)
Conspiracy Theory
The French Connection II
The Ghost and the Darkness
Ghostbusters 2
Highlander 2 Renegade Version

Planet of the Apes (original)
The Quick and the Dead
Rocky II
Rocky III
Rocky IV

The Simpsons Season 1
The Sixth Sense (Vista)
Spartacus (Criterion)
The Stand
Tron

I got 26 unwatched out of like 390. I fell way behind at christmas time. The next two weeks theres not a lot of new releases I am looking for so I should get caught up some.

Wow,

I have a ton of unwatched disks. I buy them faster than I can watch them. This would be a long list.

So I'll just confess here. I have a lot of unwatched DVD's. A lot.

It's probably pretty close to 40% of my collection I haven't watched.

Guilty of buying movies on the day they are released, only to file them on my shelves.

Damn those pre-order prices!

I buy some things because I'll know I'll want to watch them SOMEDAY, like Citizen Kane & Casablanca (the latter I watched this week). Even stuff I've seen before, like CK, I just want to have as part of my collection. And of course, sometimes it's hard to pass up a bargain. After holding off on the ridiculously expensice discs of Monty Python's Flying Circus, when the entire series came out in a box set, I was able to pick it up with pre-ordered, with a coupon for like 110 bucks and that included shipping. That was worth it for me. Not to mention that "All Troma DVDs for a quarter" sale they did a few summers ago. I've only watched a handful of those.

I really don't have any unwatched DVDs. As soon as I get a disc in the mail or I get home from the store with one I pop it in my player.

That's pretty much the same for me too.
I have some bonus features that I have yet to check out:
Tron
Atlantis (Collector's Edition)
and plenty of commentaries, but all of my movies have been viewed (then again, I only own 83)

The Peanuts Holiday Collection: I got them for Christmas and it's kinda pointless to watch them after the fact.
Seven: Platinum Ed.: I've had this since it was released. I think it's a cool movie but I've only seen it once ever and can't bring myself to watch it again for the simple fact that NOBODY would cut Gwyneth Paltrow's head off and put it in a box! But I had to have the movie in my collection.

ME, I buy them faster than I watch them. I like to have a variety of movies to choose from, and it also depends what kind of mood i'm in at the time, so alot of movies don't interest me 'til alot later. Just watched The Mexican of which I bought sight unseen about 6 months ago, and well I wish I would've watched it earlier. I just kept refusing to watch it, dunno why?

Here's my list (kinda long I know):

Almost Famous
American Pie
Austin Powers: International Man Of Mystery
Basic Instinct
Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure
Cider House Rules
Clerks Uncensored Episodes 2-6
Dogma
Family Man
Forrest Gump
Hannibal
Hollow Man
How The Grinch Stole Christmas (2000)
Independence Day
Legend Of The Drunken Master
Lost In Space
Matrix
Queer As Folk Episodes 8-22
Silence Of The Lambs
Sopranos Complete 1st Season (will start after finishing Queer As Folk)
Spaceballs
Space Camp
Star Wars: Episode 1
Swordfish
Survivor 1
Survivor 2
Thomas Crown Affair (1999)
Scream
Scream 2
Scream 3
What Women Want

Yep, long. But will catch up pretty soon, hopefully by the end of March.

I'm like Flash Ahhh...I buy 'em quicker than I can watch 'em!

My list would be too long also, but among the discs I haven't even opened from the shrink-wrap yet are...

All four Disney Treasures
Moulin Rouge
Spartacus
Apocalypse Now Redux
Brazil box set (a crime, I know!)
both Bill and Ted's...
Mask of Zorro SE
Chocolat
Tomb Raider
Glitter (not so much of a crime, I know!)

There are around 30-50 that I have opened and just gone through the menus, but not watched (maybe some of the supplemental, but not all). This w/end I'm going through the TRON and ATLANTIS sets, the rest of SHREK. I'm still trying to tie down a night or two every week to at leaast get through a title a day!

I've recently played 'catch up', so it's really not that many.

Three Colours Red: It's the only one in the trilogy I've got yet, and it's the last one. I'll wait untill I've bought White and Blue.

Bamboozled: I think I'll see this one tonight

I bought Jaws 4 as a joke, that one won't be watched.

I've also been working through the Monthy Python boxed set, it takes awhile to go through 14 disks of Python.

Apart from those I have a few I bought this week or last week.

I'd like to see pdjennings' list

I have a backlog right now of around 25 movies (out of 250 or so) I used to buy a lot of movies and would not have time to watch them. At the moment I only buy the ones I really need (need as in "I gotta have it") but the backlog is still there......

Watched them all – at least movies.
With bonus features it is a completely different story. Watched only a few. But I am not a bonus feature guy and that is the main reason why. Considering how “big” my collection is, time is obviously not an issue.

Absolutely none

I feel bad if I buy a disc and dont watch all of the special features, so I hae to watch the movie. I've never understood the point of people buying movies they dont like/wont watch. Unless its part of a boxed set. You know, like who actually bought Die Hard 2 alone

I have two I have yet to see:

Krakatoa: East of Java
The Killing (Kubrick)

The movie I've had the longest (so far, Krakatoa might beat it) without watching was David Cronenberg's Crash, but that was only like two weeks. I was busy. I normally watch my discs as soon as they arrive.

Most of my discs i've wathed the feature at least once through. But the bulk of the extras I haven't even delved into. And probably won't until I have some debilatating accident, and am house bound for a couple months.

I got quite a few DVDs for Christmas and around that season, but wasn't able to watch most of them because I didn't find the time (and had to go back to Cambridge to finish my Junior Year Abroad).

So, collecting dust, I've got-

THE NEVERENDING STORY
The BRAZIL box set
DEAD RINGERS
LOGAN'S RUN
THE BEST OF THE ORIGINAL AVENGERS

OMG...so I'm NOT the only one (Thank God). My wifey thinks I should get therapy for buying DVDs & leaving them on the shelf...which explains my recent slow down on DVDs. the last two I bought I haven't even watched yet, which were...

Tombstone: Vista
American Pie 2
(though I saw the special features)

Others I haven't watched (what a friggin' shame too...some of these are OLD):

Final Fantasy: SE
Willow: SE
Fast & The Furious
(U won't believe how much heat I got for not watching this one from family/friends)
Braveheart
Excalibur
Diamonds Are Forever: SE
The Living Daylights: SE
Ladyhawke
Mortal Kombat I & II
Rush Hour 2
Superman I-IV
(Yeah, I bought the collection to take up shelf space...geez)
Make Mine Music
Melody Time
Fantasia
Godfather I-III
(See 'Superman' comment above)
Rear Window: SE
EDTV: CE
54
Basic Instinct
City Of Angels: SE
Hannibal: SE
Misery
Rasputin: The Mad Monk
(Got it for $2.99 at Suncoast...basically there to hold up that shelf if it ever topples)
Christine
Tenebre
The Fly/The Fly 2
House/House 2
The Johnsons
(See 'Rasputin' comment above)
Mary Shelley's Frankenstein
Carrie
Rage: Carrie 2
Predator - DTS
Star Wars: Phantom Menace
(Saw ALL of the special features, but not the movie itself....can U believe that?!?!?!)

With the exception of A.I. in March, I'm done with DVDs for a while....look how much I have to catch up with!

Hard to sound like a broken record here.....I'm glad I'm not the only one to buy DVDs but not get around to watching them!

Sometimes, like with the "Twin Peaks Season 1" I couldn't wait to sit down and see. Others, I have to wait awhile.

I haven't really counted how many I have (do you count individual Farscape episodes, how do you count a box set, etc. etc.?) but out of say, 100, I bet I've seen about 60 of em. Give or take 10 on either count.

Sad. Especially since I have an uncracked Ben Hur, Rebecca (CC), North by Northwest, The Rock (CC), Superman, and Shadow of the Vampire.

What the heck am I waiting for??

There are a few I have that I haven't had time to watch. I've curbed my DVD spending a little bit lately (lack of new titles I want) so hopefully I'll be able to catch up on the unwatched movies.

I'd say there are about 20 I haven't watched.

And I'm waiting to get the Twin Peaks pilot (blasted Amazon :rar: ) before I watch the rest of the series.

a touch off topic, but....

Hey synapse:

They (amazon) keep moving my ship date back. I ordered the pilot episode Jan 9 and now they say March for a ship date.

My advice: go ahead and watch the series. What happened in the pilot is explained in the booklet. The pilot is really the 'simplest' episode, compared to later episodes! And look at it this way -- by the time the pilot's shipped, you'll be ready to watch Season 1 again. All the better to enjoy the crisp transfer twice!

Believe me, I will be.....

Too many to list. Sadly out of 500 + DVDs I have a large percentage of unwatched ones. I used to tear the shrink wrap off of them when I got them home but about a year and a half ago I started to forget which ones I had or hadn't watched. So now I leave the shrink wrap on them until I watch them. It seems to be a pretty good system.

One of these months I'm going to just have to sit down and play catch up. Its going to take a while though.

Yeah, I ordered the pilot around the same time you did, and I've gotten a couple emails informing me that the shipping date has slipped for one reason or another.

I'm thinking about watching the series before I receive the pilot, but since I've got so many other unwatched DVDs, I'll probably just end up waiting. It's been over 10 years since I last saw the show; I can wait a couple weeks more.

Edit: Well, I just got an email from Amazon saying they just shipped my copy of the Pilot, so it looks like I won't have to wait much longer.

Hopefully you'll get yours soonly Morticia
