it's gone for good, I read at another site it was shutting down
I think it was very poor of them not to notify it's members, I was getting ready to file a claim for a trade where I hadn't received my items, but it looks like I get ripped off ![]() |

This is indeed sad. I wished they would have warned us users (especially since I built a very good rating over a year and a half), so we wouldn't have been stuck. I wish we could at least access our want lists so I could remembr all the things I was looking for.
I feel badly for those who were in the middle of a trade and hadn't sent their items or were waiting for acknowledgement. Are these still legally binding contracts if the site no longer exists? Are there any other trading sites that anyone could reccommend? I have a lot of stuff I don't watch and would like to get rid of. |

Re
Shit, I have spent about a year working up some good feedback (38 positives and 0 negatives) and they are shutting down? Well, another one bites the dust.
I was fixing to go look for From Russia With Love on there because it is the only Bond film I need.\

Well that is a bit rude of them not to warn their users.
Aside from a couple of trades that were established through this message board, but were done through switchouse, I haven't really used them in quite a while. I am kind of sad that they are gone, but they did have their flaws. I had to learn the hard way not to set up any "quick sells", or whatever they were called. If anyone offered to buy an item from you at a set price that you have automatically agreed to, then just anyone could say that they'll buy it, but then change their mind, leaving you stuck with a percentage fee. And you'd be surprised how many people like to "agree" to buy something, and then change their mind. ![]() Eh... aside from a few bad experiences, I did acquire some good titles through this site. A bit of a shock... I can't say that it's terribly awful news though. |

Would you believe these sons of bitches had not only the balls to close down without notice, but just today, I get an email from the telling me they're charging 5 bucks and change to my credit card for a couple sales or something from last month! Typical. They can't take the time to let their customers know they're closing, but they'll sure as hell make the time to collect the goddamn money!
What a bunch of dickless buttmonkeys! |

As much as that would tick me off too Heck, at least they have a reason to charge you, and they aren't "scamming" a few couple of last bucks from you right after they ditched you (and all the rest of their members).
Think of it this way: a few (I'm not guessing very many though) jobs were lost due to the closing of the website. Sorry... my intentions of trying to make you feel better are probably :flush: ![]() |

User - true. I don't mind the fact that they're collecting money that I do in fact owe them, it just pisses me off that they'll take the time to do that, but I guess it would have killed them to post a little notice on the mainpage a week or so in advance? Sure would like to know the reasons behind the sudden closing.
Corporate goobers never cease to amaze me with their intelligent decisions.... Marty - I don't know, I think ass-clown may just be another deserved title for them as well! Oh well, at least I didn't have anything major pending. I bet alot of people did though... ![]() |
