Larry Sanders On Dvd

Hey all,

I've heard that the Larry Sanders show was very good. I would like to know if I should buy the season 1 boxed set that just came out. I've never seen it and I'm nervous about buying it "blind". What's
your opinion on it....yes/no??

Peace out!!

I just got my Larry Sanders Season One from DVDplanet.com. Its an amazing show but i definitely think its a required taste. Most of the people I know either love it or hate it. It's very tongue in cheek and is especially resonant with anyone who has worked in showbiz. The guest stars are great too. The only show i can compare it to is CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM on HBO. Anyway, its your call on a blind purchase--i find that its always best to rent beforehand if im not a 100 percent on a prospective purchase. Hope this helps....

I never found that or curb you enthusiasm to be that funny. I definately agree that you'll either love it or loathe it. I guess I fall into the second category. I would try to watch an episode or two before buying it to see if you like it.

I just finished watching the first disc and the show is as funny as I remembered it.

I have to admit, though, that the quality of episode 4 (The Quest Host with Dana Carvey) to be very grainy and not as good as the previous three.

Anybody else have some thoughts on how the set looks?
