Hellbound: Hellraiser 2 - the scene where the schizophrenic man slices his chest to pieces with a straight razor. On the commentary, it was said that no one could stand watching the dailies for that scene. I can understand why.
Dennis Hopper stabbing the guy in the face at the beginning of Speed always bothered me. It's a quick burst of pretty gruesome stuff. I'll second Murphy's death scene in Robocop, ESPECIALLY the Unrated Cut of the scene on the Criterion DVD. One of the few times I had to stop myself from turning a film off. The Act of Seeing With One's Own Eyes- granted, it's an exprimental film from Stan Brakhage, but it's about real autopsies, and the way he shot the piece....jesus god. I have never, before or since, been so simultaneously disgusted and fascinated. The Passion of Joan of Arc- the scene where they bleed a woman. They did it for real. And it shows. Argh! The Blob (remake)- the teen it kills at the hospitle. It engulfs him, and is flowing over his head, while his face melts and flows back with it. All the while he is screaming a muffled scream. A Girl tries to pull him out of it, but his arm sloughs off due to the caustic nature of the Blob. Despite being a generally sub-par movie, this one scene always really bothered me

Wow, I must be REALLY desensitized. Everything listed here that I've seen/own didn't disturb me.
Salo - WAY overhyped for what it is. When I finally got a copy and finished watching it, I was left saying "that's it?" If this is "the most disturbing movie of all time" then I don't think I'll ever be disturbed by a movie. Some that people may find disturbing: Ichi the Killer, The Story of Riki, Bad Taste, Men Behind the Sun, Versus, Battle Royale, The Untold Story, among some others. When I see splatter, guts, the hacking off of limbs, I guess I enjoy it. And when you've seen real scat and vomit pornos, Salo is really nothing. |

Encounters of a Spooky Kind (great movie - Sammo Hung)..
***spoiler*** Sammo beats the crap out of his wife at the end for cheating on him.. There was also a scene when they beheaded a live chicken for it's blood and it was flopping around like crazy blood spirting everywhere.. *** |

What is "vomit porno"? For me, I always found the scene where the writer is force fed his own book page by page in The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover extremely disturbing. The finale of that movie was also equally disturbing. |

I wonder if there's any actual profitability in the whole vomit scene. I don't see it selling that well. And if you're looking for it, try eMule/eDonkey instead of Kazaa. |

I've viewed this forum for month's, but have never felt compelled to respond until today and/or until this thread. I have to say that amongst the most disturbing scenes from a movie ever are:
- the scene in ROGER AND ME, when the woman beats the rabbit to death with a metal pipe!! and - the opening scene in TETSUO: THE IRON MAN, when the main charactor is driving rusty, metal pipes into his forearms!! I'm seeing pattern forming here with metal pipes, hmmmm?!?!?

too many to think of.
The Exorcist was mentioned, but, the scene for me was when Regan was standing on her bed, doing bad things with the crucifix.. Also, seeing Divine eat dog poo in Pink Flamingo's, I think it was. *shudders*
