Big month for me. Early on, I grabbed a slew of films from the new Bob Hope collection, including four ROAD pictures with Lamour and Crosby, THE PALEFACE (and SON OF PALEFACE, already available), STAR SPANGLED RHYTHM, THE GHOST BREAKERS, and another one (forget which). I also nabbed the three William Castle chillers (STRAIT-JACKET, MR. SARDONICUS, and his masterpiece, HOMICIDAL). I just picked up a region-free player, so I had to place an order with amazon.co.uk, including four Laurel & Hardy discs (SONS OF THE DESERT, THE MUSIC BOX, WAY OUT WEST, and *ahem* LAUGHING GRAVY), KING KONG and Disney's SLEEPING BEAUTY and a couple of others. I also nabbed the multi-disc set SLAPSTICK ENCYCLOPEDIA, two new Mystery Science Theatre discs (I ACCUSE MY PARENTS and RED ZONE CUBA) and -- my pick for disc of the month -- Something Weird's twofer of the legendary Arch (EEGAH!) Hall's THE CHOPPERS/WILD GUITAR.

Don't call me this month; I've got the phone off the hook.

I'm looking at getting Say Anything and, if my budget will allow, Star Trek: TNG Year One.

Well, I've already bought A.I., which I have been waiting a long time for (I love this underrated movie!). Nothing else this month excites me too much to buy. I'll rent SEXY BEAST for Ben Kingsley's nominated turn, and think about TRAINING DAY (I loved Denzel in it, but liked the film only moderately). I'll even think about LIFE AS A HOUSE (which was cheesy, but I think Hayden Christensen and Kirstin Scott Thomas gave solid performances).

Hmm... I don't recall the thread topic to be soliciting editorial comments... but since you brought it up...

• I thought Hunchback of Notre Dame was a beautiful, well done film. The music was wonderful and the animation first rate.

• I've yet to see the sequel, but I can't imagine it being so horrible as to invoke vomit from anyone sight-unseen. There's rarely been a Disney film I didn't love.

• On The Line was a very well made movie, and quite enjoyable. It's not as good as the very similar Serendipity, but I liked it and will be happy to own it.

I'm sure there are things you enjoy that I would "puke" over.... but then... I'm not fanboyelitist, so maybe not.

I would like to buy the following disc before the end of March:

Against All Odds- meant to pick it up earlier but put it on hold last week to buy AI so that makes it ok, as long as I buy it before the end of March. hehe

Legally Blonde- a friend recommended it highly so I will buy it blindly. (ooh, I rhymed).

The Last Wave- Criterion Collection - I hope this is good. Its directed by Peter Weir and I like most of this movies.

Me, Myself I - wonderful film.

And I am spent. Can't wait til April since, WOOHOOO, Tax Refund.
