As has been said *many* times....you don't have to reply to the thread if you are not interested in the subject, or think it's stupid.

Either answer his question (which does NOT include berating him, telling him to stop posting so much, etc.), or don't reply at all.

I will add these, first Lynch is a great example!

Lost Highway
Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me
Mulholland Drive
Eraserhead

also add:
Requiem for a Dream
Pink Floyd: The Wall

for more offbeat stuff try:

Jean Rollin's films:
Fascination
The Living Dead Girl

Lucio Fulci's:
The Beyond

I want to apologize for being a jerk, here.
The title of the thread intrigued me, so I clicked on it.
The first line said:

So right off, I was irritated by the fact that he's working on a "project" that doesn't seem to exist.
Then the thread seemed go down from there :flush:
And I just felt a need to turn it around.

Sorry...

The Thin Red Line immediately pops into my mind as a "state of mind" movie.

I second Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and throw in Jacob's Ladder.

Discuss any aspect of any movie NOT currently in theaters as well as music and all the latest DVD software here.

A mod already had to reply to the thread once.

I'll second Dune and various others I can't remember, and add:
Dead Ringers, The Elephant Man, Blue Velvet, Crash, Natural Born Killers, The Ninth Gate, The Fifth Element, and Unbreakable.
