I remember this show well, but I watched it on an over-the-air network, I think Fox. I thought it was hilarious, especially the opening theme ("This is the theme to Garry's show/the opening theme to Garry's show...")

This was a great show. It was essentially an update of The Burns and Allen Show, with Shandling regularly talking to the camera and often going into the audience while the rest of the cast was blissfully unaware, and it was consistently inventive and funny. I have several episodes on tape from the Showtime run, where they ran close to 30 minutes and had some humor that was excised for broadcast. I'd love to see it on DVD. I don't think there are more than 30 or 40 episodes, so it wouldn't have to be a huge blow-out set.

I too enjoyed that show. The more I think about it, I wonder if some of the bits were inspired by Ernie Kovacs?

I did a search of garry shandling and the sites say there are a total of 72 episodes.

But i cant seem to find garry shandlings own website in an effort to find out if they will release the series on dvd.

Anyone have any suggestions of who I can contact about getting information about possible dvd release??

This is the theme to Gary's show,
The opening theme to Gary's show.
These are the words that you hear,
When you watch the credits.
This is the theme to Gary's show,
The opening theme to Gary's show.
This is the theme to "It's Gary Shandling's Show."

BEST...THEME SONG...EVER!

Still no DVD love for one of the funniest TV shows ever.

Unfluencing (though I doubt it) one of my favourite theme songs:

This is the Tom Green show,
Its not the Green Tom show,
This is my favorite show,
Because it is my show.

If this was your show,
You'd probably like it more than I do,
But maybe that's because it was your show,
But it's not your show,
It's the Tom Green show.

I liked that he would travel between sets in a golf-cart. That and the theme song. Plus there was a funny fat kid.

Oh Shit!!

I completely forgot that I even started this thread, let alone that this
thread even existed!!

Thanks for digging this baby up! I haven't had this much fun singing the theme song all day long in 2 years to be exact.
