I've had orders take over 2 weeks from ship date to receiving the package. I think the shipping option they use (the free one) specifically requests that carriers must hide them and then remember where they put them so that it can delay receipt of the package at least a few days.

Yeah it always comes in 2 weeks or so, but if you order every week then you're getting your releases every week, just 2 weeks after release date, but cheaper, so who cares, you still got something to watch always

Funny you mention DDD. I waited 3 weeks for a disc and finally called customer service.
They started to ship another copy Priority Mail. The next day it finally came so I called back and stopped the re-ship.
The customer service was good but it shouldn't take 3 weeks to ship from Illinois to Texas.
Their shipping times have slowed down alot over the past couple of months. I used to recieve shipments from them in about a week.

Same here, I'm in Florida & from the 'ship date' I'd estimate 7-14 days! Although I'm never in too much of a rush, as long as I get my goods (and in good condition) I'm happy!

I've noticed that the bigger the shipment, the longer it takes. Well, at least that how it is with me, and I'm on an island of all places. Anyway, as long as they're cheap and reliable, who cares?

They do take a little longer, but I just got Watership Down today, Thursday, and wasn't it released Tuesday? Maybe they are a little faster with preorders.

but free shipping...

I got AI, the day before it was released, but my norm seems to also be about a week from either release date or instock order.

I have ordered from them twice, and never had to wait more than four days. I haven't ordered from them in a little while, though, so maybe things have changed. Can't beat the free shipping though

well here's how i see it. if i don't want to pay extra for shipping, i'll wait up to two weeks. if that's too long, i can upgrade to priority shipping (around $3 for two dvds), which generally takes around 4 business days. usually i opt to pay the extra shipping costs. their prices are low enough that even with the $3 on top of my order, it's still cheaper than a ton of other places.

They have always been fast for me, specially being in the same state and all...

I ordered Pet Sematary from deepdiscountdvd.com on April 1st and they shipped it April 3rd and I just got it today. They shipped it via snail mail and was supposed to arrive in 5-10 days, but it only took 4 days.

Even amazon.com isn't that quick(about shipping) sometimes. I was impressed with DDD.com, so I plced an order for the Thinner/Cujo 2-pack and The Dark 1/2.

Kudos to DDD.com

The last few times I have ordered from them, it has been incredibly fast. That was back around January though.
If they really do take that much longer, they'll still be my first choice when ordering a DVD online.
I wouldn't mind the wait too much, because if I had to have the movie as soon as possible, I'd buy it retail.
