Starship Troopers SE cover art

From our friends at DVD Shrine.

It's not actually going to be in black and white, according to them. But it looks like it's not a Superbit Deluxe after all. Hmmm...

i hope for a seamless branching extended cut. I liked all of the deleted scenes and believed they should have been left in.

I thought this was gonna be a Superbits Deluxe.

Regardless, this was a great movie. I thought it was a tad cheesy at times, but overall well done. The first edition was pretty well featured anyway, but I'll gladly revisit this newer and better addition when it comes out.

By the same director, I hope we get a SE of Showgirls as well.

Is it going to be DTS? That's about the only reason I would rebuy this.

And it is a fun, cheesy, popcorn kinda movie.

They had to have added new extras for it to be a two disc set, anyone know what they are?

What's the point comes across my mind. DTS seems like an obvious way to go for a second release. I seem to remember there were quite a few features on the original release anyway and it's not like this feature requires a new indepth documentary on the making of the film. Hmmmm.. weird.

I'm not giving out hope. Please give us a DTS track.

I had actually read that this IS going to be a superbit of sorts, to be released simultaneaously with Hollow Man by the same director. I hope this whole confusion gets cleared up.

I absolutely love this film! It popped up on many best of the 90's lists and is recognized for it's propaganda style format, dark humor, and very excessive violence. It pulls you in to this slick and graphic comic-book world unlike anything I've seen before.

So happy to see the original artwork...probably one of the coolest posters I can recall. I still think the FX in this film work better than those in The Matrix & LOTR. Coolest I've seen. Can't wait.

This probably means that the commentary track from the original release will be present in the SE.

I had no idea this new cover was the original artwork. It's the cover they have always used on VHS and DVD out here in R4 and I just assumed we got a crappy picture, cos the other one looks so cool. MMMM good to know this is the original artwork.

Yes, more of Denise Richards and Dina Meyer please!

I love this movie too, and also think it has some of the best special effects around. I ahve the original R1 release (with crappy artwork) so hopefully there'll be enough new stuff to warrant a re-purchase!

That's the same cover as the Australian "SE" which is exactly like our R1 release. I think it might be a superbit release after all and DVD Shrine just wanted to post something "first"

The Mask of Zoro was Executive Produced by Speilberg...so dts was inevitable. I doubt I will be adding this to replace my other one if there is no dts
