I really liked the deleted scenes on Donnie Darko. They actually added a considerable amount to the film and were all really entertaining.

Usually I can't sit through too many deleted scenes, though... in most cases, it's pretty obvious why the scenes didn't make it into the final cut of the movie.

I just watched the deleted scenes for Zoolander, and dear god, those should have been left in! They add a great deal of humor to it, and contrary to Mr. Stiller's opinion on the commentary tracks, do not hurt the flow of the movie.

I really liked the deleted scenes for American History X, because they mention one of them in the film, and I always wondered why they never filmed it. Well, they did and they just deleted it.

Boogie Nights, basically all the scenes were great and were just cut for pacing.

The Goonies, I always wanted to see the octopus!

Any Kevin Smith disc......

Yah, same here. Especially since it's mentioned in the movie itself and you sit there wondering, "What octopus?"

I enjoyed the deleted scenes section in Gladiator. It really fleshed out the characters even more. That was a section where they were cut simply for time considerations.

The deleted scenes in Superman: SE were also good. It's too bad they didn't include the extra deleted footage from the KCOP telecast of the extended version. Moreso, I would have loved to have seen the deleted scenes from Superman II, but they're still all tangled up in the whole legal issues thing.

George, to answer your first question.. IMDB usually has deleted scene info in the 'alternate versions' section for each title.

I, too, am a sucker for deleted scenes and consider them my favourite DVD extra.

As mentioned above some of the Gladiator scenes were good, but what I would have really liked back into the movie (via seamless branching so people have the option) is the scenes from the first Terminator film.

I would also LIKE to see the deleted scenes from Alien3 (have seen stills on this thing called the internet).

In my book, This Is Spinal Tap (MGM SE) is the deleted scene champion. There's about an hour of "recently discovered" material, including whole subplots and some great extra footage with Bruno Kirby.
