$5.88 for Logan's Run????? - DVDfile.com forum for DVD, Blu-Ray, and HD-DVD

Just paid a visit to my local Wal-mart and saw the DVD Logan's Run for $5.88!! Chuck Norris's Good Guys Wear Black as well stuck in with the Goodtimes videos and selling cheap!!

I picked up 4 of those $5.88 Goodtimes dvds at Wal-Mart Fri. and I haven't had any problem with them. I was impressed by Goodtimes Omega Code 2 disc so I give'em a chance.

I picked up:

Halloween II 2.35:1
Double Dragon 1.66:1 (supposed to be 1.85:1)
Munsters Revenge 1.33:1
Fist of Fury (Bruce Lee) 2.35:1

So far, I'm pleased.

A few months ago I picked up a Goodtimes bundle of Airport 1975 and Airport '77 at Sam's Club for about $8.

For the price I really shouldn't complain, but the discs look like crap. The main problem with the video is the jagged and shimmering edges. Both are presented in 2.35:1 with mono sound. They would probably look fine if they were compressed properly.
